Dutch Cooking workshops on the Veluwe.
The Veluwe has a lot to offer when it comes to culinary experiences and Dutch Cooking workshops. Traditionally the Veluwe served as a food pantry for the surrounding villages and cities of what is called the most scenic nature reserve in the Netherlands. A culinary school working with local products therefore comes with no surprise. With flavours of today. But also with traditions dating back to the time of the Hanseatic League and the Zuiderzee. (note: The salt water Zuiderzee, now the IJsselmeer, became an inland fresh water sea with the closing of the Afsluitdijk in 1932)
Cooking school Delicio – in spite of it’s Mediterenean name – is unrivaled with regard to working with fresh, seasonal produce from our own region, the Veluwe. Together with kitchen skills that have been passed on from father to son. Fresh fish from the streams, rivers and the sea. Farm produce like herbs, organic beef, vegetables, farmhouse cheeses and tree grown fruit. And also with edible delicacies from the forest: mushrooms, forest fruit, berries, roots and wild herbs. With a cooking class ‘Veluwe’ you will taste the season and immerse in a wonderfull mix of traditional cooking combined with contempory flavours.
Especially in Nunspeet we bring an extra inspiration to the kitchen. Through the years many painters have let their creativity in Nunspeet run wild. With our ‘Nunspeet uit de Kunst’ (‘Nunspeet is an art’) cooking workshop ‘cook like a painter’ you will play with a palette of colours, fragrances and flavours to vision, create and….eat your culinary dreams. You can combine a cooking workshop with a visit to the Museum Noord Veluwe, with its unique collection of painting from Dutch painters.
A cooking class at Delicio’s – the Veluwe longest running cooking school – is suitable for all kinds of groups, both private and corporate. Be inspired, enjoy each others company or use the stove as an ultimate teambuilder.
Individual courses: You can register starting from 1 person! Individual courses will take place with a minimum of 12 guests.
– Dutch classics! Discover the secrets of long loved Dutch classics such as ‘saucijzenbroodje, kroket, bitterbal, erwtensoep & stamppot’. In a high energy workshop you will learn the traditional recipes of these Dutch specials, make them, eat them and take home a great experience. At home you will be able to make and savour these dishes again with family and friends.

14.45-15.00 hr. – Coffee/tea & farewell, incl. recipe handout.
